An extensive research study in the UK confirms that nuclear power is not needed and displaces cheaper, more reliable renewables, making electricity more expensive and climate change worse. Nuclear not needed

Nuclear power cannot be readily turned off for economic reasons and squeezes out cheaper renewables; nuclear increases costs without increasing reliability; wind and solar are much cheaper in terms of capital and operating costs, so adding nuclear makes electricity more expensive. These and other key finding were reported by the Claverton Energy Group after extensive research in the UK. Claverton recommends canceling the twin reactor Sizewell C nuclear plant. READ MORE

Agony expressed through art

After showcasing the Amnesia Atómica installation in New York City last summer, US-based Marshallese Youth are promoting their film, A Journey Home, a community poem reflecting on the many meanings of home—Arkansas where they live now, the Marshall Islands and Earth itself. Their aim is for their stories to encourage people to join them as they strive for a nuclear-free and livable planet for all. READ MORE
