The costs and timing of this project are escalating. The reassurance that the consumer won’t face increased costs is of little comfort, as the inflated fixed price for electricity that has already been agreed provides sufficient cushion to absorb these increasing costs. This seems to be the inevitable pattern associated with nuclear power projects.
