On 21st Feb 2023 Richard Outram, Secretary of the UK/Ireland chapter of Mayors for Peace, gave a talk to Abingdon Peace Group. He had recently spent 2 weeks in Hiroshima as a guest of the Mayor. He gave an illustrated history of Mayors for Peace, pictures of his visit, and pointed to actions we can all take to promote a nuclear-free world. In the audience were the Mayor of Sint Niklaas in Belgium, a Mayor for Peace since 2006, and the Mayor of Salisbury, the latest UK Mayor to sign up, and they both contributed to the Q&A following the presentation.
