Does suspending START matter?
The New START Treaty caps limits on the US and Russian nuclear weapons arsenal at about 3,000 each. But one nuclear weapon is one too many. Are we buying into the myth of deterrence by angsting over Putin’s decision when the only chance for global survival is for nuclear weapons nations to renounce their arsenals altogether?
