There Is No Military Solution to the War in Ukraine

The news this week that the UK is to donate £2 million-a-pop cruise missiles to the Ukrainian military shows just how blind they are to the suffering there. Yet again, the British government is at the forefront of escalating a war which is devastating Ukraine and has the potential to destroy the planet.

As the fighting drags on, the fact that there is no military solution to the war is becoming increasingly clear. Shamefully, the Tories are willing to turn a blind eye to the thousands of lives being lost in the deadly stalemate in an attempt to try and maintain some semblance of credibility.

It also raises the question of how the government can continually escalate the conflict with hoards of taxpayers money when they claim not to have the funds to give our nurses and teachers a desperately needed pay rise. It’s a con and one we can’t allow them to get away with.

We need an urgent ceasefire in Ukraine and an end to continuing British escalation. Wages, not war!

Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Gaza has killed 21 Palestinians, including 7 children. It’s vital we voice our disgust at this latest massacre this weekend.
