Four women and their legal representatives are the “stars” of Heidi Hutner’s documentary, Radioactive: The Women of Three Mile Island. Although the nuclear disaster happened in 1979, the film’s protagonists remain as committed as ever to justice. Karl Grossman reviews the film, which is currently in cinemas across the United States.

This week, Beyond Nuclear board member, Karl Grossman, reviews Heidi Hutner’s debut film, Radioactive: The Women of Three Mile Island. The film takes a deep dive into the accident cover-up and subsequent attempts to present the remaining Unit 1 as fit to operate. Women residents and female lawyers were denigrated and dismissed, but the women persisted and the truth prevailed in the end and is laid out in shocking detail in this film. READ MORE
