Lanterns decorated by school students arrive from Hiroshima

We very much value our links with Hiroshima and ,at this time of year, just ahead of our candle float on 6th August, we received a lovely parcel from Japan!

Enjoy the images sent from Danbara Junior High School.  This is the second year they have sent lanterns to Salisbury CND and we so look forward to combining them with our own lanterns on what promises to be a very memorable day.  You can see a letter from the Mayor of Hiroshima via the link below, together with the images the students have put on their lanterns this year.  Do join us at the river, if you can.
