  • North Korea’s Kim Jong Un could travel to Russia to meet Vladimir Putin as part of the Kremlin’s efforts to secure artillery shells and other weapons for the war in Ukraine. Pyongyang could receive food supplies and help with its nuclear energy programme in exchange. Washington has responded by saying North Korea would pay a price for if it supplied arms to Russia.

  • Bloomberg, The Guardian and The Express pick up on Russian government commentsabout the return of US nuclear weapons to Britain. “If this step is ever made, we will view it as escalation, as a step toward escalation that would take things to a direction that is quite opposite to addressing the pressing issue of pulling all nuclear weapons out of European countries,” foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
