You are an identified stakeholder in the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) airspace change to implement temporary segregated airspace in the vicinity of RAF Waddington and you may have provided feedback through the engagement period last summer. The MOD is required to present you with the CAA’s decision and some basic information on how the MOD will manage aspects of the airspace operation. You do not need to respond to this email.
The CAA has approved the change as per the decision letter attached, which is also uploaded to the CAA ACP Portal here.
In accordance with the MOD’s submission, the airspace will become available from 9 Nov 23 for a period of 21 days and it is the MOD’s intention to activate the airspace from 9 Nov and to complete 3 flights spread across the 3 week period. As part of the airspace change process requirements, the MOD is collecting feedback regarding this TDA and its impact over its duration which will be shared with the CAA. All feedback regarding this may be sent via email to [email protected]. This will be managed throughout the duration of the TDA. The CAA designator for this airspace is EG D398 and further details will be published in an Aeronautical Information Circular tomorrow. This will also be uploaded to the CAA ACP Portal at the link above by the end of this week.
