This webinar discusses some of the impacts of British nuclear weapons development on indigenous peoples and lands around the world and the struggles for justice. This recording includes the stories of the Western Shoshone nation of Indians in Nevada, US where over 900 nuclear bombs were detonated and the Pacific Islanders of KIritimati (Kirisimas) who were also subjected to UK colonisation and nuclear bomb tests and are still seeking reparations and justice. Due to technical issue the video was lost but the audio and slides have been put together for the full event.

Speaker Bios: Ian Zabarte is Principal Man and Secretary of State of the Western Shoshone National Council for the Western Bands of the Shoshone Nation of Indians. He is also the Secretary of the Native Community Action Council

Dr Becky Alexis-Martin is a pacifist academic in Peace and International Development at the University of Bradford. Her work explores nuclear warfare, social justice, humanitarian and environmental issues, and human rights.

David Cullen is the Director and main researcher and report author at Nuclear Information Service

Trish Whitham is the Co-ordinator at Nuclear Information Service
