Right now campaigners and friends from Workers for a Free Palestine, along with supporters of CAAT and other groups are picketing Eaton Mission Systems in Wimborne near Bournemouth!
They are at the site in Brook Rd, Wimborne BH21 2BJ, and would hugely appreciate your support! We believe there are some 500 people already there.
Eaton Mission Systems is the largest supplier of Hose and Drogue Aerial Refuelling systems globally. They have a large portfolio of products including hydraulic, fuel, motion control, electrical and engine solutions and their components form part of the F35 warplane. This weapon is being used in the genocide currently being carried out in Gaza by Israel against Palestinian people.
Campaigners are talking worker-to-worker asking those employed at the factory to end all forms of complicity with Israel’s crimes – most urgently halting the arms trade with Israel, as well as all funding and military research.
They are calling on trade unions and workers:
- To refuse to build weapons destined for Israel.
- To refuse to transport weapons for Israel.
- To pass motions in their trade union to this effect.
- To take action against complicit companies involved in implementing Israel’s brutal and illegal siege
- Pressure governments to stop all military trade with Israel, and in the case of the US, funding to it.
Well done to these brilliant campaigners, showing solidarity where and when it matters most.
If you are able to get to Wimborne to join the picket you would be most welcome!
Thank you for your ongoing support and opposition to the arms trade.
