Eleventh Salisbury Candle Light Ceasefire Vigil 17.2.24
Posted: 17th February 2024
On a rainy evening, again about 50 people gathered to express their commitment to demanding an immediate permanent ceasefire in Gaza, Israel and the West Bank Palestinian Territories. We are horrified at the suffering and disgusted at our governments complicit support for this genocide.
We gathered signatures on a petition to send to our MP John Glen, urging him to vote for the motion for a ceasefire that is due to come before parliament this coming week. If you weren’t able to sign the petition at the vigil, you can add your name electronically via this link.
https://chng.it/F8pp2BLLKSWe gathered over 140 signatures for the petition.
Some pictures from tonight’s vigil are available below.
