Three more officials were indicted and arraigned last week in Ohio for their role in a major nuclear bribery and corruption scheme.

More nuclear plotters arraigned

Two former executives at FirstEnergy and the ex-head of the Ohio Public Utilities Commission faced indictment and then arraignment last week for their roles in “likely the largest bribery money-laundering scheme ever perpetrated against the people of the state of Ohio.” FirstEnergy was described as a company that “went looking for someone to bribe them” as they bought their way to favorable legislation to bail out the company’s failing nuclear plants.
