Communication with John Glen MP regarding Salisbury Vigils

Dear John,

Please take a few minutes to view this video.

A Video Inspired by Twelve Ceasefire Vigils in Salisbury

I hope it conveys something of the strength of feeling we have that a permanent ceasefire is absolutely essential to halt the humanitarian disaster that is unfolding before all of our eyes.

You and your colleagues have it within your power to influence the course of events.  Please use that power now.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Gloyns,

Dear Peter,

Thank you so much for your email – I am very grateful to you for sharing this material with me.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write and share your concerns with me for the conflict in the Middle East. I can assure you the significant loss of civilian life in Israel and Gaza weighs heavily on all our shoulders.

It is why the UK continues to lead the discussion for ensuring a sustainable ceasefire, facilitated by an immediate humanitarian pause to get aid in and people out. Until then, there will be significant roadblocks to a long-term peaceful two-state solution.

The major political parties in Westminster all want some form of ceasefire, we just disagree about the process to achieving it.

I take your concerns very seriously and will share them with my colleagues.

Thank you very much.

Very best,

John
