Last Saturday’s tremendous demonstration proved once again the phenomenal resilience of the pro-Palestine movement. Nearly half a million people took to the streets in the tenth national demonstration calling for the ceasefire that our politicians still refuse to countenance.
As a result, the movement is under attack once again.
It is clear we need to continue to deepen and broaden the movement. Stop the War is organising meetings and rallies around the country to help win the argument for peace and justice and to widen the mobilisations. We have recently had major events from Liverpool and Manchester to Bristol and from Newcastle to Margate and Brighton.
Last night we organised a packed rally in London to defend the right to protest, against Islamophobia and the attacks on civil liberties.
They are attacking us because we are making a difference. But we all know there is so much more to be done.
