Join CND's General Election Campaign 2024

At such an important time in both global and British politics, when war is raging and nuclear-armed states are modernising and expanding their arsenals, it is important that we vote for those candidates in the upcoming general election, who will take Britain on a different political path: a path of peace and disarmament, prioritising justice, humanity and a safer future for everyone.

Successive British governments have made matters worse.  They have chosen to spend £billions of taxpayers’ money on weapons of mass destruction, whilst the UK is in the worst cost-of-living crisis for decades.  We need a change from the policy status quo; a different type of government that will choose peace and dialogue over war and destruction.

This is a crucial moment for CND groups, members and supporters to raise awareness of our campaign. We are asking you to engage with parliamentary candidates to find out their views on Britain’s nuclear weapons and disarmament, and other crucial peace issues, reporting them back to us. We will compile the responses to help inform public electoral choices.

This work will also be key to supporting our campaigning work in the future.  To support you, we have created a campaigning guide and model letter with questionnaire for you to send to your candidate through our online lobby tool.
