Stop the War has been campaigning since 2001 against all foreign wars and the squandering of public resources on militarism. Our campaigning has reached unprecedented levels since the assault on Gaza began in October 2023.
We are central to the broad coalition for Palestine, organising national, regional and local demonstrations, along with scores of meetings and rallies. New Stop the War groups have been springing up all over the country.
This Saturday’s #Nakba76 National Demonstration
This will be the route for the Nakba 76 March this Saturday. The start point will be slightly different from marches from the BBC in the past, beginning on Mortimer St. Please use the following underground stations: Goodge Street, Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus.
The march is part of a Global Day of Action to mark the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, the act of mass ethnic cleansing undertaken by Zionist forces to establish the state of Israel which saw over 750,000 Palestinians expelled and over 500 Palestinian towns and villages destroyed.
Hundreds of thousands are predicted to march in what will be the 14th national march since October, starting at BBC Portland Place and marching to Whitehall, calling for a ceasefire to end the genocide in Gaza. Click here to find transport from your local area.
Leafleting sessions have been organised across London and elsewhere.
