David Swanson of World Beyond War believes NATO is a danger not a defense, an alliance that spreads nuclear weapons, nuclear energy and risk. It’s not a widely held view in the West. What are the arguments for “no to NATO”?

US nukes in Europe serve no end

Europe is bristling with US nuclear weapons and more countries want them. But why do they even need them? Writes David Swanson: “If the US decides to use nuclear weapons, it almost certainly won’t bother trying to use the ones it keeps stored in Europe.” Meanwhile Russia is using the excuse of US nuclear weapons in Europe to place its own nuclear bombs in Belarus.
