Stop Sizewell C: On Friday Stop Sizewell C applied to the High Court for permission to challenge the Sizewell C Nuclear Site Licence, on the basis that the boundary of the Nuclear Site Licence (NSL) does not cover the sea defences and proposed new flood barriers, which are critical for future site safety. This legal action concerns the safety of the Sizewell C site in the age of climate change, with sea levels potentially rising further and faster than previously thought, but we consider it urgent to be challenged given Sizewell C’s push to achieve a Final Investment Decision.
