It’s 79 years since the US dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As we remember and mourn we must also recognize that we are again in extreme peril.

Canada’s role in the bomb
The US dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima but some of the uranium in that bomb was mined and milled in Canada. That often obscured role is being highlighted in Toronto by an exhibition of 100 photographs, all of which can also be viewed online. The exhibition includes five images by Yoshito Matsushige, the only photographer on the scene on the day the bomb was dropped. READ MORE
