Yesterday saw a massive demonstration in Liverpool on the eve of the Labour Party conference, protesting against government inaction over the atrocities in Gaza, the West Bank and its total silence against the barbaric attacks carried out in Lebanon.

What happened in Lebanon this week shows Netanyahu is bent on goading Hezbollah into an all-out regional war. US and UK inaction gives a green light to the Israeli government to act with impunity, way beyond the boundaries of international law. This week’s actions in Lebanon were nothing less than terrorism.

The free rein given to Israel is not supported by the vast majority of people in this country, or indeed the world. The latest atrocities have been met with horror. As the threat of a wider war escalates so must our activities. To do so we need your help.
