This Saturday, we’ll take to the streets and march to Downing Street to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and for an end to arms sales to Israel. The war has been raging for almost a year, with over 40,000 Palestinians killed and many more wounded, trapped under rubble, or displaced from their homes.

Just last night, Israel escalated its regional assault with airstrikes on Gaza, Syria, Yemen, and a ground invasion of Lebanon, where over a million people have already been forced to flee.

We know that the only path to lasting peace in the region—and the safe return of Israeli hostages still held in Gaza—is through a diplomatic solution and an immediate ceasefire.

Join us to call for an end to the genocide and for our government to halt all arms sales to Israel.

Date: Saturday 5th October

Time: Assemble 12pm

Location: Russell Square (Picadilly Line)

This week, a powerful new film set in the West Bank was released in UK cinemas. The Teacher, an independent film starring Saleh Bakri, tells the story of Basem and his student, Adam, against the backdrop of Israel’s brutal occupation and their shared commitment to political resistance. In writer and director Farah Nabulsi’s own words, the only way to keep it in cinemas longer—and to get it on streaming services—is by “more and more people going to see the film.” If you have the chance, please go with family and friends to watch The Teacher, or organize an outing with your local Palestine Solidarity Campaign branch, as many others have already done.

Israel’s war and illegal occupation are only made possible with the support of its Western allies, including the UK. That’s why we must keep up the pressure on our government to put an end to Israel’s military campaigns in Gaza, and now, its invasion of Lebanon.

This is why it’s critical for us to continue our actions for Palestine—whether in our workplaces, council chambers, cinemas, university campuses, or out on the streets.

Almost a year ago, our movement made a commitment to the Palestinian people—that we will not stop marching until Palestine is free. Now is the time to honour that promise.

See you on Saturday!
