Write to London Mayor Sadiq Khan and call on him to take steps to prevent DSEI being hosted in the city next year.

In September 2025, DSEI, one of the world’s largest arms fairs, is scheduled to return to the Excel Centre in Newham, London. At DSEI, deadly weapons and military technology will be marketed to representatives of human rights abusing states, including Israel.  

Write to London Mayor Sadiq Khan and call on him to take steps to prevent DSEI being hosted in the city next year.

It is outrageous that representatives of a state on trial for genocide at the world court are being welcomed to London to do business with arms dealers profiting from the sale of lethal weaponry.

Among the arms companies likely to attend are Elbit Systems, which supplies the Israeli military with armoured drones, bombs and artillery shells. Elbit Systems, and other Israeli arms companies, develop and test their weapons through Israel’s attacks on Palestinians, before marketing them to other states as ‘combat-proven.’

In addition, the fair is likely to be attended by General Dynamics, a US company which produces metal bodies for the MK-80 bomb series, one of the primary aerial munitions Israel has used to bomb Gaza.

These 2 companies are among many arms companies producing weapons and military technology used by Israel in its attacks on Palestinians who will exhibit at DSEI.

Sadiq Khan must act now to prevent the fair returning to London in 2025.

The Mayor of London has previously outlined his opposition to DSEI due to its role in perpetuating human rights abuses. In his 2021 election manifesto, he committed to explore “all possible options to end it being hosted in the city.” We call on him to act on this pledge by taking steps ensure DSEI does not return next year.

Many Palestinians call London their home — some have experienced first-hand the genocidal violence inflicted by the Israeli military, or watched in horror as it has impacted their families and friends. As their representative, ending this heinous event must be at the top of the Mayor’s agenda.
