War making and weapons dealing don’t seem to cease, though killers and profiteers may take big vacations.
Peace making also does not cease. The workload tends to grow exponentially. Sometimes we find ourselves dreaming - as much as of peace - of getting a full night’s sleep.
It’s time for us to take a pause. Not for a year or a week. Only for 90 minutes. For the work ahead. For the work behind. For friendship.

Online Party to Celebrate Our First 10 Years
World BEYOND War is 10 years old. We have tons of accomplishments behind us and, of course, massive struggles ahead. We’re taking a 90-minute pause to enjoy each other’s company and the sustaining happiness that comes from our experiences engaged together in moving the world toward peace and away from the madness of war.
Please wear your blue scarf or your peace shirt. Please bring your memories of the past decade and your resolutions for the decade ahead. We’d like everyone to contribute 30 seconds at the open mic.
Have lessons learned? People appreciated? Moments of success? Bring it all. But make it concise. The world spins fast! And thirty seconds goes by fast! We want to hear from everybody!
