Israel’s genocidal assault on the Palestinian people in the north of the Gaza Strip has entered a new and horrific stage. Starting with Jabalia Refugee camp, Israel is now intensifying its open erasure of the Palestinian population. Write to Keir Starmer now. Demand immediate action to halt the liquidation of the north of Gaza.
Email Keir Starmer todayWe are witnessing crimes of historic proportions. ‘The smell of death is everywhere’ in the north of Gaza, the head of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, has written. Densely populated areas are under relentless Israeli attack.
Bodies are left lying on the roads or under the rubble. Israel is firing on Palestinians attempting to rescue the injured or retrieve the dead. Since the start of the month, no food or medicines have been allowed in and all attempts to provide humanitarian assistance are denied. Schools and hospitals serving as evacuation centres are deliberately targeted to drive out the population. Everyone expects to be killed at any moment.
These horrors cannot be allowed to continue. We must not remail silent in the face of such atrocities. Will you write to Keir Starmer today and implore him to pressure Israel to halt its liquidation of the north of Gaza?
Email Keir Starmer todayLast Saturday, we laid flowers and toys at the gates of Downing Street in a moving tribute to the 42,000 Palestinians including more than 17,000 children killed by Israel in the past year. Today, Israel’s far-right security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has publicly called for the ‘migration’ of Palestinians out of Gaza. We must escalate our actions against Israel’s ongoing campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
Watch and share the Downing Street actionOn Saturday 2 November, we will march from Whitehall to the US embassy in London to demand that western governments – including Britain and the USA – stop supplying the weapons that are being used to carry out these crimes against humanity. On 16 November we are planning protests in towns and cities across Britain. Then, on 28 November, we have called for stoppages, walk-outs and other actions at workplaces across the country.
Those who are responsible for these atrocities – and those including the British government who are complicit – believe that you will give up, lose interest, or sink into despair. Write to Keir Starmer today and prepare for further actions in the coming weeks.
In solidarity,
Peter
