A Week of Action for Palestine

 
As the news from Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon becomes ever bleaker we must increase our activities. With our partners in the Palestine Coalition we have called for a week of action for Palestine and ask all our supporters to get involved.
 
Following the parliamentary lobby on 27 November there will be the Workplace Day of Action on 28 November. The day is backed by the TUC who have put out a call for action to all their members. Suggested activities include simple solidarity acts – such as wearing a Palestine badge or scarf to work, a bake sale, a two minute silence, or a lunchtime walkout and rally. The week’s activities will conclude with the next national demonstration for Palestine on 30 November. Start organising coaches now!
 

Anti-war convention this Sunday – 17 November

The convention could not have been more timely – the return of President Trump raises many questions for the movement: What do his campaign promises of peace mean in reality? How will this most pro-Israeli of Presidents square his promise to end wars with urging Netanyahu to ‘finish the job’? Will his blank cheque to Israel lead to all-out war with Iran? What will happen with the Ukraine war? With NATO? With China?

 

We will also be discussing the next steps for the movement, Islamophobia and the current climate of police repression. These issues and many more will be addressed at the anti-war convention on Sunday. The full timetable is available here. 

 

Only two days to go so make sure you get your ticket now and take part in the day. All welcome. Please note registration is at 11:30 so that the convention can begin at midday sharp.
