Do you think protest has the power to change things for the better?

Do you think protest has the power to change things for the better?

We do. When those in power won’t listen, protest is a way for us to make our voices heard.

Many of us are looking around at events in the UK and across the world, and wondering where we go from here. There are opportunities to change things for the better, but there are also very serious threats to human rights that cannot be ignored.

Whatever happens, we need to be ready to come together and stand up to those in power when our rights and freedoms are threatened.

Together we will stand up for the right to protest. Will you join us and become a Liberty member?

Throughout history, when our rights and freedoms have been under threat, we have used protest to stand up for ourselves and our neighbours.

When the far-right has tried to intimidate and threaten others, people have come out in their thousands to show them that racism and division will never be welcome in our communities.

People across the UK and the world have used powerful, creative and inspiring protest campaigns to win important progressive change.

Think of the campaigns for votes for women, or for LGBT rights, or for fair wages and working conditions. Where would we be without the power of protest?

We protest because it has the power to make society better for everyone.

We demand the Government restore the right to protest by scrapping the last Government’s anti-protest laws. Will you support our campaign by joining our movement and becoming a Liberty member?

Many thanks for taking action to defend protest rights.
