Our partner organisation, Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCIP), are hosting a webinar today to amplify the voices of Palestinian children in Gaza who face a daily struggle for survival.
As Israel’s genocidal campaign against Palestinian children continues to deny them the basic rights to life, education, health, and safety, young witnesses will share their realities – grieving the loss of loved ones, navigating the trauma of violence, and enduring the deprivation of critical resources. This event sheds light on the brutal impacts of Israel’s policies and the relentless violations that strip children of their most fundamental rights.
Peter, this couldn’t be more urgent. More than 43,000 Palestinians have now been killed, with over two-thirds of the casualties being women and children. In March, the UN reported that Gaza had seen more child fatalities in just four months than in four years of global conflict everywhere else combined. Thousands more have been killed since then.
Each day, an average of ten children face amputations without anaesthesia, and at least 3,000 children have had at least one limb removed. Shockingly, while this goes on, the British government is still allowing the supply of essential components for the F-35 fighter jets used by Israel to carry out genocidal bombing against Palestinians.
Next Wednesday we will be inside parliament from 2-5pm for our lobby day, calling for a complete end to Britain’s arms trade with Israel. Please register to join us if you can come to parliament that day. If you can’t come to parliament next week, then please still email your MP with our latest e-action.
In solidarity,
James
