Ukraine: Emergency day of action, 7 December 2024

All of us are horrified by the rapid escalation taking place in Ukraine.
We all know how dangerous this situation is.

Yesterday, as the Ukraine-NATO council met, CND handed in a letter to the Prime Minister calling on the government to end its reckless escalation and withdraw the use of British Storm Shadow missiles. We’re calling for Britain to use its influence in support of a ceasefire and peace negotiations. Read our press release and letter here.

We have to pressure our political leaders to step back from the nuclear brink.
This is why CND has called an emergency day of action on Saturday 7 December.

We are asking local groups to start organising activities in your area.
 
Through the event page here, you can find resources to help you with your action including: graphics to share on social media, posters to download and print, and a lobby tool to write to your MP about the dangers of nuclear war. We would also ask if you can consider organising a street stall, a public meeting or protest on Saturday 7 December.
