The battle for peace
Peace must come with both freedom from fear and freedom from want. The development and possession of nuclear weapons assures neither. And countries that direct obscenely vast spending toward nuclear weapons arsenals inevitably deprive their people of basic needs. These misplaced priorities persist, writes M.V.
