As this year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the challenges we’ve faced and the hope we’ve found in one another.

2024 has been an incredibly tough year for millions across Britain and around the world. Here at home, 14 years of austerity and mismanagement have deepened inequality, pushed families into poverty, and left our essential services in tatters. Globally, the horrors of war, oppression, and genocide have shattered lives in places like Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and Ukraine.

But even in these dark times, hope endures. Together, we’ve shown what is possible when people stand united in the struggle for peace and justice.

Watch this short video reflecting on what we’ve achieved together this year and looking ahead to 2025.

This year, the Peace & Justice Project has been a beacon of hope and action:

  •  We launched Monstrous Anger of the Guns, a searing critique of the global arms trade and a roadmap for dismantling the war machine.
  • Through Music for the Many, we supported grassroots music venues and raised vital funds for Palestinian humanitarian aid.
  • We campaigned tirelessly for our 5 Demands, hosting our conference in April bringing together academics, activists, trade unionists and campaigners
  • Continued our campaign to unionise workers at Samworth Brothers and beyond
  • Helped mobilised for the Palestine demonstrations and facilitated thousands of supporters to lobby their MPs and local councillors
  • Organised demonstrations against the far-right alongside our friends at Stand Up To Racism and the TUC
  • Hosted our second international conference with voices from across the world
  • Amplified voices and built solidarity across borders with activists from Myanmar to Bangladesh to Pakistan

As we step into the new year, I’m inspired by the strength and determination of our movement. Together, we will continue to organise, march, and demand a better future.

Your support makes our work possible – the Peace & Justice Project doesn’t rely on billionaires or big business. We rely on people like you.

If you can, please consider making a donation to help sustain our project and keep hope alive in 2025.

Thank you for everything you’ve done to support our work this year. Together, we are building a movement for peace, equality, and justice—a movement that gives me hope for the future.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful Christmas and a hopeful New Year.

In solidarity,

Jeremy Corbyn

P.S. The next National Demonstration for Palestine is on Saturday 18th January 2025, just days before Donald Trump is inaugurated in the US. Please join me and thousands of others in central London if you can!
