Just a reminder that Drone Wars UK, CND, and Oxfordshire Peace Campaign are organising a public meeting and demonstration to highlight the role of Fairford US air base in the ‘new Cold War’. There are plans to deploy US Global Hawk and Reaper spy drones at the Gloucestershire military base and B52 heavy bombers regularly visit Fairford rehearse for war in Europe.
The drones will use RAF Fairford as a base for secretive surveillance missions, only intensifying the UK’s complicity in far-reaching US military intelligence activities. Join us to learn more about and resist this dangerous development, and its worrying consequences both locally and globally.
