After 15 months of unimaginable suffering, a ceasefire has finally been announced for Gaza. While this pause in violence offers a glimmer of hope, the cost has been devastating: countless lives lost, homes reduced to rubble, and livelihoods destroyed.
We hope a full ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli forces can be reached, even as Israeli Knesset members agitate against any peaceful outcome. We know the struggle is far from over and our global movement will never fall silent until we end the Israeli occupation, liberate Palestine and bring those responsible for genocide to justice.
As Jeremy Corbyn and the Independent Alliance of MPs have stated:
“How many lives could have been saved if political leaders acted sooner and listened to the global demand for peace? They have blood on their hands – and it will never wash away.”

We will be marching again in solidarity with the Palestinian people this Saturday. Due to obstruction from the Metropolitan Police— who continue to shield the BBC from scrutiny —the march will now assemble at Whitehall.
Date: Saturday 18th January
Time: Assemble 12pm (midday)
Location: Whitehall, London, SW1A
Whilst we may see peace in the Middle East at last, the UK government continues to supply arms that fuel Israel’s atrocities against the Palestinians.
Later this month, the International Armoured Vehicle Exhibition takes place in Farnborough. We must demand that Israeli delegations are barred from participating in any capacity. Their military actions in Gaza and worldwide should disqualify them from such platforms. Please sign the petition organised by our friends at Northampton PSC here.
The Peace & Justice Project alongside our movement will continue to demand accountability. We call on the British government to fully cooperate with the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) investigations into war crimes and the International Court of Justice’s hearing of genocide in Gaza. This includes taking responsibility for its complicity, complying with arrest warrants, and providing intelligence to support ICC prosecutions.
See you on Saturday!
In solidarity,
Peace & Justice Project
