Donald Trump’s grotesque plan for the mass ethnic cleansing of 2.3 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, met with silence from Keir Starmer, reinforces the urgent need to escalate our campaigning. Here are three things that you can do:
Today: Write to the Home Secretary and Mayor of London to defend our right to protest
Tomorrow, Saturday 8 February: Join your local action
Next Saturday, 15 February: Join us for the National Demonstration for Palestine
We need absolutely huge numbers out on the streets of London on Saturday 15 February for our National Demonstration for Palestine as we march from Whitehall to the US Embassy. Will you join us?
Join the National Demonstration for PalestineAfter 16 months of genocide, we could now be standing on the precipice of the greatest crime of this century. We must all act urgently to stop that from happening. Our marches unite people from every walk of life. Given the monstrous threat of Trump’s plan, we need Saturday 15 February to be the biggest demonstration yet. That is why tomorrow, Saturday 8 February, we are asking all of our supporters to take action in their communities to help mobilise for it. Find your local actionLast month, the Met Police banned our planned peaceful protest at the BBC. Its heavy-handed policing has been condemned by Liberty, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International UK, over 50 MPs and Peers, lawyers and legal scholars, trade union leaders, and British Palestinians.
Following this widespread criticism, the police have now accepted and agreed to our route from Whitehall to the US Embassy on Saturday 15 February.
But we will not accept attempts to silence our movement. Will you add your name to these calls by writing to the Home Secretary and Mayor of London?
Write to the Home Secretary and Mayor of London todayUltimately, the best way to defend our right to protest is to keep on campaigning. On Saturday 15 February people from every background and all parts of Britain will come together and march to the US Embassy in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their enduring struggle for liberation. We need you to be there too.
In solidarity,
