The genocide continues. The new Israeli ground invasion is under way, with hundreds killed within days. And that genocide did not stop during the so-called ceasefire. Nor did western support for, and complicity, in that genocide stop.
Did our own government stop sending arms? Did it start saving Palestinian children, defending Palestinian hospitals? No it has continued, with blood on its hands, to support this most indefensible of political regimes.
And it is absolutely clear – the Netanyahu government has never wanted a ceasefire, never wanted an end to the killing, an actual peace deal. Its goal has been clear from the start, and remains so. To kill enough Palestinians, and create sufficiently unbearable conditions, that they will complete the ethnic cleansing of Gaza, and eventually all of Palestine.
Our campaign in support of Palestinian rights and sovereignty, in support of Palestinian lives, is a long one. For many it is decades’ long. For us as a new united movement for Palestine, we have been mobilising together since the genocide began in October 2023. And we are still here together, in March 2025. And we will continue to mobilise until Palestine is free.
Difficult though it is, to make a breakthrough against the criminal actions of our government, we have the responsibility to step up our action, to find new ways to break through politically, to make that difference, to end British support for the genocide.
And we need to go international in organising our solidarity, linking with movements in other countries to build the broadest possible pressure and protest.
This is the most shameful time; the stain on the governments of the west, on the British government will never be eradicated, and the crimes of those responsible will never be forgotten.
It is the moral duty of our age to stand alongside the Palestinian people, and that is what we will do, today, tomorrow and forever.
