Nuclear hawks are soaring

A group of senators is trying to drive down reckless spending on nuclear weapons. But they face serious headwinds from a resurgent network of nuclear hawks who want to build more kinds of nuclear weapons and more nukes in general, in addition to those already found in the Pentagon’s bloated nuclear weapons budget.
