Liberty on Government plans to ban face coverings at protests

Thank you for joining our campaign to remove the dangerous proposal to ban face coverings at protests. For years, UK governments have clamped down on the ways we can speak up on important issues. The police now have almost unlimited powers to crack down on protests and arrest demonstrators, and this latest Bill is yet another blow to our right to protest safely.

We should all be able to make our own decisions about how we protect ourselves and our privacy when protesting. The more people we have supporting this campaign, the louder our voice will be when demanding change. However, when it comes to discussing this issue with friends and family, it can be challenging to explain the intricacies of this proposal and why it matters.
