On Wednesday 4 June, Jeremy Corbyn will introduce a bill to the UK Parliament calling for an independent inquiry into British involvement in Israeli military operations in Gaza.
The prospective inquiry will investigate any British military, economic or political cooperation with Israel since October 2023.
This includes the sale, supply and use of weapons, surveillance aircraft and RAF bases.
More than 60,000 people in Gaza have been killed by Israeli forces since October 2023, including tens of thousands of women and children. Three million people have been displaced whilst the appalling destruction of the Palestinian identity and slaughter of civilians continues.
We are witnessing one of the greatest atrocities in human history and, whilst many in the political and media establishment turn a blind eye to Israel’s war crimes in Gaza, we are calling for truth and accountability for our government’s complicity in the genocide unfolding before our eyes.
There can be no justice for the Palestinian people until we fully investigate and understand Britain’s role in the horrors of Gaza. From arms sales and intelligence gathering to political cover, we must unearth every aspect of UK involvement in the Israeli siege.
