To all those who joined us on the night, and to all those who couldn’t make it, we hope you find this video evokes the spirit of that very special evening.
Our very warm thanks to all who contributed to the success of the evening. The students in Kyoso School in Horishima who kindly decorated 20 lanterns and sent them over to us. The Hiroshima Coventry Club and the teachers who helped the students. The Mayor of Hiroshima for his wise letter. The considerable team in Salisbury CND who prepared our candles, launched and recovered them from the river and those who photographed the event and made this video. The friendly co-operation of all involved reflected a peaceful approach to life in such stark contrast to the horrors unleashed by the nuclear weapons we were all remembering.
