This is an important update that PSC’s lobby of parliament for Palestine has been moved a day earlier, and will now take place in Westminster Hall between 2 – 5.30pm on Tuesday 9th September.
Register (or re-register) for the new lobby dateWe were planning a mass lobby of MPs on Wednesday 10th September, but in solidarity with members of the Public and Commercial Services Union who are taking industrial action with a picket line around Parliament that day, we are moving our date forwards.
It is vital that we still have a strong presence in parliament that week, so please join us on Tuesday 9th September to demand MPs implement sanctions against Israel. If you previously registered for the lobby on the 10th September, then you will need to re-register to request a meeting with your MP on the new date.
With only a short 2 week window between parliament returning from its summer recess and rising again for party conference season, this is a narrow opportunity to apply political pressure.
The horrors in Gaza are beyond anything we can imagine. We need change. We need action from MPs. We need sanctions against Israel now. This can only be achieved through mass political pressure from people like you.
Lobbying your MP is easy and anyone can join – you just need to be available to be in parliament between 2 – 5.30pm on Tuesday 9th September. You can watch the video below which explains the whole process and guides you through the day.
You’ll also be sent a full briefing pack to help you prepare before arriving in parliament, and lots of people will be around to advise and support you. The most important thing is to be there, joining hundreds of other constituents to tell your MP face-to-face that they must act now!
Peter, if you have already requested to meet with your MP, then please click the registration button below to notify them of the lobby changes. Do NOT come to parliament on the 10th September. Follow the lobby registration link to either request a new meeting time with your MP on Tuesday 9th September, or to let them know that you will no longer be participating.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by these changes, but I hope you can join us in parliament on the 9th September.
In solidarity,
James
