Write to the Met Police to demand that Isaac Herzog is arrested

Posted: 11th September 2025

It is utterly grotesque that Israeli President and war criminal Isaac Herzog has been welcomed by the British government with open arms. We will not let this stand – if you can, join our emergency demonstrations TODAY and write to the Met Police to demand that he is arrested!

Herzog is visiting Chatham House today, Wednesday 10 September, at 5.30PM. We need as many people as possible outside with pots and pans to drown out his speech and to send a clear message that he is not welcome here. We will then march to arrive at Downing Street at 7PM if he is still expected there (updates will be on our social media). Will you join us?

An arrest warrant for Herzog has already been sought for his aiding and abetting of war crimes against the Palestinian people. Since the start of the genocide in Gaza he has called for the collective punishment of Palestinians, stating that there ‘are no innocent civilians in Gaza’ and that it is the ‘entire [Palestinian] nation out there that is responsible’ combined with his promise to ‘fight until we break their backbone.’ Disgustingly, Herzog has himself been pictured writing messages on missiles in preparation to be dropped on Gaza.

The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians has submitted evidence to Scotland Yard of Herzog’s suspected criminal liability for these atrocities – we must demand that Mark Rowley acts immediately to arrest him and ensure that Scotland Yard’s War Crimes Unit urgently investigates him in compliance with Britain’s international and domestic obligations.

In addition to protesting against Herzog, this evening at 5PM we are still going to be outside the DSEI arms fair at the Excel Centre – where Israel buys weapons from arms companies that it uses to slaughter Palestinians – to demand that it is stopped.

If you’re in London, make your way to whichever protest is closer to you!

There is so much going on, but we all need to do everything in our power to show our solidarity with Palestinians in their darkest hour. We will continue to target all the pillars of Britain’s shameful complicity in Israel’s genocide against them. Write to Mark Rowley today, and join our emergency demonstration this evening, if you can.

See you there.
