The ceasefire in Gaza may have paused the relentless violence, but it has not resolved the deeper issues of occupation and apartheid.
Even with a ceasefire, Israel has continued to kill Palestinians and the struggle for justice, accountability, and lasting peace is far from over.
Over the last two years, the anti-war movement has played a crucial role in holding our government accountable, amplifying the voices of Palestinians, and pushing for real political solutions rooted in international law and human dignity. But the root causes of the war – military occupation, blockade, displacement, and systemic denial of basic human rights – remain unresolved, and without sustained political pressure, the genocide could resume any moment.
This is why we must continue to campaign because a ceasefire alone does not guarantee that Palestinians will get a just outcome. Neither Trump or Netanyahu or their European allies are concerned about justice for the Palestinians. Their solidarity is one sided and they are only concerned with protecting Israel’s interests. Without sustained international pressure, there is a real risk that any political resolution will side line Palestinian rights and entrench an unjust status quo – one marked by continuity of the daily systemic oppression.
This is a critical moment to stay engaged and not look away. And this is why we are asking you to become a member and help us build a global movement that refuses to let war be the answer.
What we do here in the UK matters. Continued campaigning ensures that the voices of Palestinians are heard, that their rights are not traded away at the negotiating table, and that any peace deal includes real, enforceable guarantees for dignity, sovereignty, and long-term peace. We campaign so that Palestinians don’t just survive – they have the chance to live freely and equally, with justice at the center of any agreement.
