In early December Salisbury CND members gave Peace Education lessons to Year 7 pupils (11-12 year olds) in St. Edmund’s School for Girls and South Wilts Grammar School.
Responding to the question ‘What is peace?’, the pupils came up with a list of important ways in which conflict can be resolved in various situations.
The pupils wrote messages about what they had learnt on coloured cards which hang on Christmas trees in Salisbury Library over the Christmas and New Year period for all to see.
The pupils enjoyed these activities which were also appreciated by the teachers. CND plans to give these lessons in more schools in 2010.
