Stop the War coalition's winter appeal

The work of Stop the War has never been more vital. A pause in bombing in Gaza does not mean peace. It’s a fragile moment that must be used to demand a permanent end to the war and occupation.

We are at a critical political breaking point, both at home and abroad. As winter approaches, millions of people, from Palestine and the Middle East to Venezuela, Sudan and beyond, continue to face the devastation of war, displacement, and sanctions. 

This is where Stop the War comes in. It’s organisations like us that are the only force pushing back against the normalisation of war. You can help sustain our campaigns in several ways. Your support – whether through a donation or by becoming a member – will directly help our ongoing campaigns – from organising demonstrations and meetings across the country, lobbying politicians, building grassroots pressure, printing campaigning materials and amplifying the voices of those most affected.

All the major political parties are competing to appear tougher on defence, immigration and foreign policy. We must challenge their rhetoric. Labour has shifted further to the right on key issues including defence while civil liberties and welfare are being side-lined in favour of an anti-immigrant agenda. Refugees fleeing war are being scapegoated, while the government continues to pour billions into weapons and nuclear expansion. The rise of Reform UK has further amplified the dangerous political vacuum that we are in and its growing influence is deepening division and insecurity across our communities.
