Today is the 45th anniversary of Manchester becoming the world’s first nuclear free city
With support from my predecessor Sean Morris, I have produced this booklet about the historic declaration 45 years ago, and subsequent developments, that I hope you will find of interest.
Nukewatch / NIS webinar on re-nuclearising the RAF – 11 November 5pm
Nukewatch and NIS are arranging an online webinar about the government’s proposal for renuclearising the RAF, which will take place next week on Tuesday 11th November at 5pm. This is very pertinent to the discussions we’ve have been having in the last couple of meetings.
The panellists will be Professor Paul Rogers (University of Bradford), Eliana Johns (Federation of American Scientists), Professor Nick Ritchie (University of York) and Peter Burt (Nukewatch).
