This year has been our biggest yet! We cannot thank you enough.
The number of people reading and watching our investigations is in the many millions and higher than ever, and we cannot let this year pass without saying a huge thank you to our supporters for helping to make that happen.
In 2025 we have worked exceptionally hard to bring you the stories that are important and that you care about. Our team has expanded as we work to fill the huge void in the mainstream media’s coverage of critical issues such as the extent to which the UK is complicit in the genocide in Gaza, the attacks on civil liberties, ongoing state secrecy, the influence of pro-Israel lobby groups, arms companies, the war in Ukraine and so much more.
Our stories have impact! We say it all the time, but we do not want our work to stay on the page, to merely pass on knowledge and information for information’s sake. We want our investigations to challenge those in power in the interests of the public, and this is what we mean by public-service journalism.
In this article, our deputy editor Dania Akkad takes stock of the tangible impact of our investigations in 2025. She details how our revelations this year have triggered inquiries, suspended Israeli soldiers training in the UK and stopped the British army from firing white phosphorus in Kenya – and much more.
Importantly, this year we also produced an original Declassified UK documentary exposing Keir Starmer’s shady spy flight missions for Israel. You can watch the documentary, made by Phil Miller and Alex Morris, here, where we ask… Will this documentary put Keir Starmer behind bars?
This month we went live! We looked back on the year over on our YouTube channel. It was an important opportunity to reflect on the stories we have covered in conversation with the Declassified team. You can watch back here.

Get your ticket hereWe want to plan more live and in-person events in 2026, the first of which will be our Challenging the War Machine event on Saturday 31st January. This one-day summit will ask contributors to answer important questions like—
How do we challenge the drive to war? How do we challenge UK support for Israel? How do we challenge the propaganda machines of the mainstream media and cultivate independent media? How do we build an active majority against war and militarism?
It should be a landmark event and will include a range of fantastic speakers. Get your ticket today!
Our sincerest thanks to you for engaging with our work this year. We are in a strong position to ramp up our investigations in 2026, to expose more about the political system and those in power.
Happy New Year from everyone at Declassified UK.
