Activities planned for Pax Christi in the coming weeks

• Peace Sunday, the main campaigning day for Pax Christi, is on the 17th January. From the 22nd January onwards to the 17th February (Ash Wednesday), there will be campaigning on the TPNW. On Ash Wednesday Pax Christi joins CCND in the annual liturgy outside the MOD, which will be held virtually this time.
• For the 22nd January, Pax Christi England and Wales has been working with Pax Christi International, the NCPO, Christian CND and NWFG (Joint Public Issues Team):

• President of Pax Christi England and Wales, Archbishop McMahon will be asked to join the signing of the statement from Pax Christi International.
• There will be a video statement from Archbishop McMahon for Don’t Bank on the Bomb.
• Articles are planned for the Catholic Press, hopefully for the 29th January.
• Pax Christi England and Wales will be joining the NCPO for two Christian Leaders briefings, and a zoom celebration on the 22nd followed by bell ringing.
• Members will be contacted with a list of further actions to carry out over the weeks before Ash Wednesday.
