At at time of heightened concerns about rising energy prices, building more nuclear power plants is the worst possible choice. And yet, as Hinkley C in Britain reaches $67 billion - almost triple the original estimate - and as experts predict small modular reactors will be “even less relevant economically” than the “deader than the proverbial doornail” large ones, our governments willfully press on with nuclear expansion. READ MORE
