Starmer’s Iran war cover-up exposed; demo at Fairford on Saturday
Posted: 20th March 2026
Dear Peace Group supporters,
CND are co-operating with Oxfordshire Peace Campaign and Drone Wars UK to call a demo outside
USAF Fairford (only 26 miles from here) this Saturday. There are seats in a car going from Abingdon – email Sally Mears on
[email protected] if you would like to join them. Here’s the invitation:
Dear CND member,
I’m contacting you as you are based not too far from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The situation in the Middle East is highly dangerous and rapidly escalating out of control. The UK is complicit, as the Prime Minister has announced it will allow the US to use bases including RAF Fairford as part of the military campaign. Please join us at Fairford this weekend if you can – to show we will resist this horrific war.
Fairford Action (Drone Wars UK, CND, and Oxfordshire Peace Campaign) is organising a ‘Name the Dead’ action at Fairford US base this Saturday 21 March between 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
As the US and Israel’s brutal attacks on Iran continue, the number of innocent civilians killed as a result of the conflict is creeping up. By far the most shocking attack to date in this shocking war is the US cruise missile attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ elementary school in Minab on 28 February, which killed 175 children, the vast majority of whom were school children. In contrast to US military personnel who have been killed in the war, the UK government and mainstream media have made virtually no effort to remember the dead children, humanise them, or respect their memories.
Join us at Fairford to remember the civilian dead of Trump’s war and read the names of some of those killed in the Minab school attack.
Bring banners, placards, food and friends!
Dress in black, mourning clothes, or with black armbands (wear appropriate clothes for the weather).
Bring photos, children’s clothes, and messages to attach to the fence, and bring banners.
Please let me know if you have any queries or comments at all. And thank you for your ongoing support – our campaign wouldn’t exist without you.
Best wishes, Sara, CND
