Over the past few weeks, Israeli soldiers and settlers have been committing unspeakable acts of violence against Palestinians across the West Bank. Settlers have been rampaging across the West Bank, setting fire to Palestinian houses and property and viciously attacking people in their homes, in their fields and at checkpoints.
These attacks are not isolated incidents. They are a part of Israel’s project to push Palestinians off their land by direct force or coercive violence. This is ethnic cleansing.
Here are 3 simple actions you can take in solidarity with Palestinians who are facing down Israel’s colonial violence:
1. Sign our petitionIsraeli agricultural exporters, which ship fruit and vegetables to supermarkets in Britain, operate farms and facilities in the West Bank, on land stolen from Palestinians. By stocking products exported by Israel, British supermarkets are contributing to Israel’s land theft, military occupation and apartheid. Sign our petition and share this video explaining the context on your social media.
2. Email your MPRichard Burgon MP has tabled an Early Day Motion 2822 calling on the government to oppose Israel’s de facto annexation of the West Bank and to impose sanctions on Israel, including trade sanctions and an arms embargo, over its violations of international law. Use our e-action tool to email your MP and ask them to sign EDM 2822.
3. Join our webinar this MondayThis coming Monday is Palestinian Land Day, dedicated to Palestinian land defenders past and present. We’ll be hosting a webinar online at 6PM this Monday where you can hear more from renowned Palestinian scholars and activists on the topic.
